Therapeutic Movement & Yoga Therapy

Where the body
learns to rest
in itself

Rooted in the Krishnamacharya–Viniyoga tradition, Tranquility Mobility offers clinical yoga therapy, therapeutic movement, and contemplative practice for people navigating pain, transition, and the long work of becoming well.

The Practice

Movement grounded in how you actually live

Tranquility Mobility is a therapeutic movement and wellness practice built on a single conviction: that healing is not a special state you arrive at, but an orientation you cultivate — one breath, one session, one quiet decision at a time.

Drawing on the Svastha Yoga Therapy methodology and the Krishnamacharya–Viniyoga lineage, the work is precise, adaptive, and always in service of your actual life — not an idealized version of it.

Chronic Pain

Evidence-informed movement and breathwork for those living with persistent pain conditions.

Cancer Recovery

Gentle, adaptive practice for survivors at every stage of treatment and recovery.

Healthy Aging

Strength, mobility, and nervous system regulation for older adults seeking vitality and resilience.

Stress & Transition

Contemplative and somatic tools for navigating life's harder seasons with steadiness.

The Book

Yoga therapy
for ordinary life

"The householder path is not a lesser yoga. It is yoga practiced under pressure — and that pressure is the teaching."

Most yoga therapy literature is written for practitioners. The Householder's Compass is written for the rest of us: the people raising families, holding jobs, carrying chronic conditions, and still trying to live with some measure of presence and grace.

Across three volumes, the series draws on the Svastha/Viniyoga methodology, kleśa theory, breath science, and contemplative philosophy to offer a rigorous yet deeply human map for the yoga of everyday life.

The manuscript is complete. Publisher inquiries and early reader access welcome.

About

John

Yoga Therapist · Clinical Practitioner · Teacher

I work in the Svastha Yoga Therapy methodology, within the broader Krishnamacharya–Viniyoga lineage, and am training toward CIAYT certification. My practice is clinical, but it is not cold — I believe that good therapy holds the whole person, including the parts that do not show up on an intake form.

My work draws on yoga philosophy, breath science, somatic practice, and contemplative traditions to meet people in the complexity of their actual lives. I see clients navigating chronic illness, aging, grief, burnout, and the quieter struggles that rarely have names.

I am also the author of The Householder's Compass — a three-volume yoga therapy manuscript that began as a teaching resource and became something more personal: a map I needed to draw for myself.
